The Sunset
I always enjoyed watching the sunset
until that very night
They used to hold my dreams and keep me calm
until you could hold me tight.
Six months and one day
longer than the usual sunset
Still I enjoyed it just as much as one
and I wouldn't have wanted to miss it.
I was so in love with you
you were everything I ever wanted
but like the sun you set on my life
and like the lost, I wandered.
I found our first kiss
more passionate than sex
and the time we held each others hands
just because it felt best.
You were my sun, realize it or not
the most beautiful sun I could get
I only wished you WEREN'T like the sun
because like the sun.... you set.
