A Place I Once Knew
I once knew a boy who'd been hurt pretty bad.
His heart was trampled leaving him sad.
He was broken for sure and lost without hope.
Then along came a girl and tried to help him cope.
She too had been broken and stipped of what's true.
She ingnored that she'd found again a place she once knew.
They took their relationship at a new sense of slow.
She trapped all her feelings, had a hard time letting go.
He, mysterious, or at least so he tried.
Couldn't keep it form her, she saw all he'd hide.
He knew then indeed that she was falling in-love.
He trembled and feared and plain ignored what's stated above.
For he couldn't look her in the eyes if she were to say, "I love you."
So he too ingnored that he'd found a place he once knew.
When he realized it bothered her to not hear him speak.
He didn't say anything and proved to her weak.
However, she didn't expect him to love her at all.
Just to listen to her explain and to help with the fall.
Although, he knew her better than he thought.
He didn't realize honesty is all she sought.
Now she allows him to see he's like her too.
No way to say the words...she'd found a place she once knew.
She hid all she thought would scare him to death.
But realized it's better said and took a deep breath.
Although, she never came right out and said it.
The damage was done she should of let the feelings just sit.
He didn't say word not even hello.
But he didn't have to, for her to just know.
Now without reason, and words at a few.
They find themselves missing in a place they once knew.
