Afterglow
There are special moments
That bubble up in the simmer of life
When a person's heart is revealed
Open and exposed
Vulernable
And yes, receptive to the solid reality of truth
Best heard in a whisper.
And tonight
After we made love with unprecedented passion
I heard your whispers
Made with such gentle regard
And honest emotion
That my heart responded.
So yes,
Perhaps I am beginning to believe
That I am worthy.
Of not just your love,
But worthy of loving another special soul.
