"Complex"

gentle... so gentle.
your hand drawn to my face
eyes follow, then forfeit
a glance becomes a gaze becomes a stare
transfixed: never far from my thoughts

candle burns on the table,
burns forever in my heart.
love smolders and consumes
intimacy crushes all hope of adequacy
spellbound: nothing except for you

so innocent I could cry.
my arms offer to hold you, trembling
hear my heart whisper, and know why still it beats:
"i love you. i love you. i love you."
inundated: not a single cloud in your sky

the honor to lay beside you
more than my petty little soul can bear
a touch, and dreams fall away,
revealing more than the nothing I was trying to hide
raptured: possessed of a love beyond hope

heaven revisited
weakest... most human... most beautiful
begging to love unfettered and unflawed
I wonder if you wonder
transcended: eternity pauses to smile
