Father time

Time and love,
dance to the beat of our hearts.
Father Time,
Why do you be sake me?
You crucify me,
With your merciless hands,
And drown me with my own tears.
You past by to fast,
With the blink of an eye,
You are here, then gone.
When I think I feel you,
You turn your face in shame.
You tick away at my heart.
Drain the air out of my lungs.
My hourglass figure is running out.
If you are my father,
Why did you leave?
You left me to fight off the demons of my past,
With no shield, sword, or armor.
I dread tomorrow,
I loathe the past.
And the present is just a mere dream.
But tomorrow will surely come,
The past will fade to darkness.
My broken heart one day will split in two,
Like the waves breaking against the land.
Saturating my innocence,
With your salty, sour, venom.
