The Last Flight Out

'The Last Flight Out'

Hey friend...
I won't lie, I'm not doin so well tonight
Time has been our enemy, and it seems it has caught us
And to be honest it's something my heart has to fight
This time with you has been a mere preview
To what I know is still to come
Oh, but friend don't cry...
For even the thought of your tears make me numb
I know it's hard to leave my sight
But please realize this
That in my heart, there you will always be
Together with each other in our own bliss
Oh, how I love to hold you close
And share ourselves with each other
We run, we fall, we walk, and we crawl
Taking hands as sister and brother
Our Father intended this to be so
With growing love to guide our way
We will see his glorious face together
And  be together that final glorious day
Until then, I just need your help
Continue to love me and accept me
Share my scars and my fears
Helping me to all that God has wanted me to be
My promise to you, is that I will never give up
Giving my all to be here for you
And that when I need you
You would give your all for me too
So, as we stare in each others eyes
Before my departure
Remember, I love you
This  you can be sure
I've taken this last flight out
To share every last moment with you
So good-bye friend
Stick close to this love so true...
