Sleep Dear Child
Sleep dear child for you are safe
Here in my arms no pain or sorrow can reach you
Close your eyes, rest your mind
No need to cry, don't shed any tears
I will watch you as you sleep
All the while I will be thinking of who you'll become and who you are now
What great things will you accomplish
Sleep dear child
As your eyes will start to open and you begin to wake
Nothing will have changed
I will still be right here beside you
Trying to shelter you from harm
Sheilding you with my arms agianst the evil of today and tomorrow
Arise dear child and live
Smile and laugh with no worries on your mind
As you grow so will my love
An endless flow of prayers, kisses, and hugs
But tonight dear child...
Sleep and dream of what is to come
