"Men always want to be a woman's first love - women like to be a man's last romance."
--Oscar Wilde

"It will make you feel young again" --The New Yorker

It's June, the days are long and the grilling's great.

This digest marks the first full month use of the new look for the Blender of Love...you can read more about that in this month's ramble

A better than average month for front page picks, a lot of good variety here, including three "quote" based submissions...and as many of you might already know, I love quotes. So read and enjoy!

knife song
dirty boy
Two by lupschada, Brooke Tarnoff. She both suggested the change in appearance of the Blender, and helped by coming up with the model for it. I had actually asked her to submit these pieces from her own site. Both are a bit dark; "dirty boy" is a true and scary and disturbing story.

Smog - Kendra143
Sex in the City? (Well, at least some good dancing.)

She lies - spaceman
Drop the very last line, and this well-crafted poem of suspicion would be even better. Still works well.

A Soft History Of Love: 1 - Gudkarma
She's got legs, but he knows how to use them. Photography and poetry.

Beauty in You - Walking Contradiction
Story of a muddy stroll.

The bEnd of our World
in relative retrospect
Two by Stephen: an apocalyptic romance, and a study in relativity.

Reading Erotica Alone - Galadrial
Kind of a sad poetry just in the title alone...

The Muse - M.Zabka
Submitted by Kirk. A friend of mine wrote this, just a bit touch racy for the prudish but good.

a slender magnet - Madison
Another balance of words against a photograph.

secrets - twinkle
Not crazy about the opening/closing line, but the rest has grace.

upstream - Jon
A spirited work by one of our most prolific poets.

Your Shirt - Bridget O
The author's original comment was "I'm sorry I bit you", I guess I'll leave it at that.

The Karma in the Sutra - splatipus
Cute.

Number One Rule of the Road - Kris Kristofferson
Submitted by Jasper Mook. 8 bits of advice about life and love and drugs.

Quote - Oscar Wilde
This month's top-of-the-page quote, submitted by TJ Holland.

A Few Words too Many - Billie Myers
Submitted by muryan. Another brief quote.

Ramble Regarding Romance
Just a bit on the new look of the Blender, with some nostalgic images to go with it.
