"'Let me help'. A hundred years or so from now, I believe, a famous novelist will write a classic using that theme. He'll recommend those three words over 'I love you'."
--Captain Kirk, "The City on the Edge of Forever"

"It will make you feel young again" --The New Yorker

May seems to be the month of changes here on the Blender...

LoveBait.com is a free online matchmaking site. Seems to have some good articles, and over all is a labor of love (no pun intended) so check it out.
1998 had survey results, 1999 ditched having a seperate ramble and review every month, 2000 introduced the guest ramble, 2001 was the premier of the new login system (man, that was only a year ago?) and this year we're featuring a brand new look for the monthly digest (as well as replacing the old front page with the current issue). Many kudos to Brooke Tarnoff who both pointed out the benefit of a cleaner design and came up with the layout for it.

A good mix of Front Page Picks this month, plus a guest ramble by Devin on "Keeping the Honeymoon Alive"

Murdering Romance
Passion Goodbye
Two word/image combos by Gudkarma. Good stuff in both media.
Le Temps - Just Some Girl
Not to geek out the goodness of this work, but...I celebrated my 10K day last year...(You can figure out your own daycounts here.)
Friday's journal entry - wistful
Like Woody Allen said in Crimes and Misdemeanors: "It's very hard to get your head and heart to work together in life. In my case, they're not even friendly."
E - Motion - Debra654
Wordplaying.
Random Thoughts 8 - Vishal
An interesting nugget of an idea beautifully expressed.
Groundhog Day
A Lesson In Physics
Two by wordley. Both are playful, but in different ways.
The Princess And The Pea Brained - Galadrial
Grabbing the bull by the (fairy-)tail.
high school days - erin
Ah, teenagehood...
getting better - musicalduck
Kind of rough, both in form and content.
His Passions Included - Misti
You know, I've always said that it's often the random details that make a poem work for me, but I think the selection of details has to carry a certain message in and of themselves. Misti has a knack for that.
Somewhere South of 71st Street - Tanqueray Cowboy
Tanq's return after a bit of an absence...great stuff.
Ramble Regarding Romance
"Can You Keep The Honeymoon Alive" -- the way Devin sees it.
