Without the Schizophrenia I'd Be Invisible

When there's a crowd I spin. Around and around the floor. Colored lights are my guardian angels. It's not like in the movies. There's more space, less sleaze. It's almost like...a fairy tale. And there is silver lacquer on my nails. I don't know how it got there. Maybe I was asleep for a thousand years. Maybe I stumbled blind in a forest without a brother because he was dead...a bear ate him...and I had to find the candy cottage and bake the witch on my own. I'm always in lace. Not black lace. It has to be pink because few people like pink lace. I didn't come here to be a star. I'm the freak show. Not the acid wash jeans pink nails big hair gum smacking wine cooler copping freak show. That's too obvious. I won't turn into a pumpkin. I can stay out until the sun comes up. I won't melt. I'm already in rags so I have nothing to worry about. Once I saw an armadillo watching me from the bar. I thought he was my first husband because he was born in the year of the Rat. I gave him the magnolia from my hair and he ate it. Then...then he washed it down with a pint of Guinness! I would jump off a skyscraper but I don't want the publicity.
