SCENE 18 INT.-Dressing room-Night Frances/Mandee is dressed in a Bikini Kill t-shirt and blue jeans. She's putting her makeup and stage clothes and accessories in her duffle bag. Other dancers are changing into their street clothes and packing up for the night. A tall skinny blonde enters the dressing room. She approaches Frances/Mandee. Her name is Roxi/Magenta. Magenta: Vito says you need to hurry up. Don't shoot the messenger. I'm just passin' it on. Mandee: That's mighty efficient of you, Magenta. How much did he tip you to pass that on? Magenta: Not nearly enough. Mandee: Well, make the money however you can. Magenta: Don't we all? Mandee: No. Some of us earn it. Mandee walks away. |
