We knew each other in passing Enough to say hello But now each day that passes Our friendship continually grows Hours in front of a monitor Chatting away online Listening to your stories Then boring you with mine We started out with simple things Likes dislikes and such Looking back I am wondering Maybe we said too much Brief hellos Long goodbyes Endless laughter Frustrated sighs My silly antics Your goofy style Steamy stories Coy smiles I am fighting a losing battle Your heart I may never win, But I wont consider it such a loss After all, you are my best friend. |
