we had keys made, small little silver keys, with a red pad on them. to fit in my door, my wooden door. with the white paint drifted on the edge. then i thought of all the keys in world, the keys people carry in their pocket for their doors, their individual doors, their homes, their safes, their jewelry boxes, keys for desks. the millions of keys in the world that exist, for everyone. then i thought of the one single key in my pocket that opens my door, that i alone possess. no one else opens my door, accept me, but now you will as well. out of all the keys in the world, only you and i will posses the one key that opens the same door. |
