So far away you bring me home. The seasons change ten times over And still we're here Constant, yet always changing but everything is the same. So young, I could not understand Unable to put words to what was happening. Like waves lapping onto the shore we've come together and separated Doomed to follow the same vicious cycle. You are still so young and unsure So many things left to experience A process I cannot rush, as much as I'd like to. I am not so young anymore And I fully understand what has happened, And the consequences I face, should I go through with it. I must let you go to make you understand how much I want to hold on to you. You have been so much to me And though I would love for us to be full tide I know I must settle for the occasional lapping waves. So Be It. |
