21st Century Doors...ha

wish I could say that my first concert was Ozzy Osbourne but I can't. I'm from Texas. My first concert was Mickey Gilley, Johnny Lee and Reba McEntire (sic? I am not a fan, so I have no idea how to spell her last name!) when I was in second grade. I was all about "Urban Cowboy."

I wish I could say that the last concert I saw was the Smashing Pumpkins circa "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" but that would be a damn lie. The last concert I saw was Toby Keith on July 4, 1999 in Lawton, Oklahoma. I was in love so it was good.

The best concert I've ever attended was Rock Fest '97 in Fort Worth, Texas. I saw Matchbox 20 (loved their rendition of Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time"), the Counting Crows, Collective Soul, No Doubt, Bush, the Wallflowers, Paula Cole and Jewel. I was blissed out beyond belief.

I would love to see Willie Nelson in concert in an intimate setting (the picnic in Luckenbach I caught in '95 does not count), just to hear him sing "Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground."

And I hate that I wasn't around for the Doors. The 21st Century Doors are a not- so- funny joke. I saw them on some talk show awhile back and laughed in shock and disgust.
