I have forgotten, What is feels like, The passion, The pain, The longing, The infinite happiness. I have forgotten how it feels to be held, To be spooned while I sleep. How it feels when someone wipes your tears away. To be kissed, Gently, Softly. To be loved completely. To have someone ask you how your day was, Care if you are sad. To have someone to call, when its cold, and lonely and my life seems so desolate. I have forgotten, So much so I couldn't recognize True love When it was standing right in front of me. Blinded, jaded by my past, The future seemed obsolete. I didn't want to keep living the way I was, Yet I couldn't find the strength to change. Darkness was all I knew. You, You helped me see. You helped me remember. You revealed to me, All I have forgotten. A light in the dark, World I once called my home. Breathed life into what I let die, And couldn't even realize was dead. |
