| Corporate Barbie marries Plastic Surgeon Ken. The wedding is lavish. The wedding takes place on a privately owned island. Everyone oohs and aahs over Barbie's Vera Wang dress. Skipper is the flower girl. She wears lavender like Barbie's six size zero attendants. There is an enormous twelve tiered white cake with raspberry filling. No one eats it. A fountain of the best champagne Daddy can buy. No one drinks it. Everyone smiles idiotically as Barbie and Ken gaze into each other's turquoise eyes and recite the vows they wrote themselves after an especially rousing game of strip Scrabble. Bubbles are blown in their direction as they kiss. Doves fly overhead. The reception is typical. Abba is played. After the reception Ken and Barbie fly away on a private jet. They fly to Rome, where they spend two blissful weeks. Nothing much happens after that. |
