i know the turn's gonna hurt i flip my hair too much and close my eyes so tight dude, please swear you'll pick me up just before i hit the ground and smash my heart between pavement cracks. that place you promised me about yeah that one with tall buildings and fast cars i only dream simple ones for me and my li'l gurl that place, that one where the prettiest faces dwell and walk very fast are they rushing for heaven, or do they know that hell is just around does it snow over there,honey? i was in munich some time and saw it frosted the flakes dried my skin and left my lips cold and broken. do you honestly believe this gypsy will get her life in the big apple city will she find herself there or simply push the sadness deeper in memory and only to find out one day she lost all that was left of her the few ones she took with her the night she made that gypsy turn and took that flight of her life to NYC. and if one day i realize and find an empty suitcase a heart that has been left behind will you let me trace my way back to the one who truly owns it even the night i made that gypsy turn and took that painful flight away from love. i bet you this turn's gonna hurt ... |
