You touch me And the world around us Quickly blurs All the sounds are quieted Except the beating of my heart And the only thing I'm conscious of Is the warmth of your hand Wherever you have placed it I know what it is to lose control To toss out rules and regulations To forget everything Except a touch And when you touch me To caress or hold The stars seem to dull And the full moon Seems not majestic As it had Moments before, When you hug me When I hold your hand in mine Or even when you gently brush Your hand across my cheek I feel close to you so nice to feel this warmth from you Breathe a sigh of relief in you It is as I have said your touch changes my world in that changed world there is only you and me... |
