Cool Cats, Big Cats, Catnip and Cat Naps

Cool Cats, Big Cats, Catnip and Cat Naps

The lovely Nepeta Cataria (Catnip) is known for her behavioral effects on the cool cat clan, not only on domestic cool cats, but also on other species of feral cool cats. The physiology of Catnip's intoxication is not understood. Not all cool cats are affected by Catnip (normally due having passed on).

The common desires that arise when a cool cat senses the emanation or proximity of Catnip, are rubbing on her rosebud, twirling on her tutu, pawing at her patchouli , licking her lady flower, and chewing at her chumbawumbas, and attempting to consuming as much of her as possible. This would be followed by drooling, sleepiness, anxiety, leaping about and purring.

If aforementioned desires are fulfilled, a cool cat will often growl, meow, scratch, or bite. Often eating too much of Catnip can cause big cats to be aggressive, typically making them hiss.

Although the physiology of intoxication is not well understood, obvious biologic and psychotropic effects demonstrate that Catnip should be treated like any pharmacological substance. Large doses may induce undesired effects in the individual.
